Trains from the South West to Portsmouth are stopping at Westbury this morning, after a shortage of train staff.

The 0730 from Cardiff Central, which calls at Bath at 0836, will not be travelling to Warminster or stations Portsmouth.

The return journey, the scheduled 1123 from Portsmouth will begin at Westbury, leaving at 1310.

Bristol’s Plimsoll Bridge is working again, letting commuters breathe a sigh of relief for the rush hour this morning.
Thousands of people were delayed by hours on their way through the city last night, after the bridge, which carries the A3029, and takes traffic to and from North Somerset and south Bristol became jammed open.

A wet and windy day ahead for the middle of the week but so far, at least, there are no disruptions to traffic and travel this morning in and around Bath.
The are no major problems to report on the roads and the trains are running on time.
The weather is a different matter.
