Bristol's Plimsoll bridge fixed after night of traffic chaos
Bristol’s Plimsoll Bridge is working again, letting commuters breathe a sigh of relief for the rush hour this morning.
Thousands of people were delayed by hours on their way through the city last night, after the bridge, which carries the A3029, and takes traffic to and from North Somerset and south Bristol became jammed open.

Traffic on the road – and many others as a knock-on – was at a standstill, with tailbacks on the north side stretching 3.5 miles along the A4 Portway to Sylvan Way…
