Fine for woman who ignored lollipop lady in Midsomer Norton
A young driver who failed to stop her car for a lollipop lady has been fined.
Now motorists who fail to stop for the lollipop are being warned they face hefty penalties following an incident outside St John’s and Somervale schools in Midsomer Norton.
In July, 18-year-old Ruth Newman of Silver Meadow, Trowbridge, went through the school crossing at Redfield Road, failing to stop her Ford Ka for the patrol.
She narrowly missed the lollipop lady, who had to take evasive action, despite hazard…

It’s been a week of movers and shakers for Glastonbury Festival headline rumours this week, with the Twitterverse throwing new names like Kayne West, Rihanna, Bon Jovi and Adele into the mix, playing along the self-confirmed Lily Allen.

Meanwhile, Metallica appear to be off the list, after they announced they’d be playing Sonicsphere with Iron Maiden as “their only UK show.”

If the Glastonbury rumours about fleetwood mac headlining are true I will cry with jealousy of everyone…
