Suzanne Vega to play Glastonbury Festival 2014
AMERICAN singer Suzanne Vega confirmed on radio last night she will be playing Glastonbury Festival this summer.

The ‘Tom’s Diner’ singer told Absolute Radio’s Geoff Lloyd on his Hometime Show that when she is next back in the UK after her US tour she will be playing Glastonbury.

When Vega played at the festival in 1989 when she appeared on the Pyramid Stage wearing a bulletproof vest after threatening phone calls were made to her and bassist Mike Visceglia.

Strike delay warning for airline passengers
Passengers flying to European destinations could be hit by delays over the next two days because of strikes.
Industrial action by air traffic control staff in Italy and Portugal would have “a significant impact on our flights during these peroids”, easyJet said.
Both British Airways and easyJet have rescheduled flights to help ease delays and BA are planning to use larger planes.
A spokeswoman said BA had already cancelled a number of flights to and from Italy.

Prince ruled out of Glastonbury Festival line-up
Gigwise say a spokesman for Prince has told them that contrary to earlier reports the star has not been booked for Glastonbury 2014.

The website reported that festival goers can expect purple rain this year with Prince, Metallica and Outkast already signed up for this year.
