The Purple rain singer was said to be using a Croydon singer’s living room to announce the details of his much-anticipated London shows today.
Glastonbury Festival ticket holders will also be desperately scouring the dates to see if if there is room in his schedule to play at Worthy Farm.

Latest traffic, travel and weather updates for Friday
6.50pm update: Traffic continues to be heavy in and around Bath.
Long queues are still be reported along the A36 and Brassknocker Hill because of the Midford Road closure and temporary traffic lights in Limpley Stoke.
There are also delays around the city centre with slow moving traffic along George Street, London Road and Upper Bristol Road near Windsor Bridge.

Latest travel and weather: Power cuts and flooding as storms…
Power cuts, motorway flooding and yet more rain on the way as the winter storms continue to batter the region.
Some parts of Bath were left without power for a time last night, including Bathampton.
And flooding around junction 26 closed the M5 motorway last night for a time as more torrential rain fell.
Strong winds have forced the closure of one lane of the M48 Severn Bridge this morning.
Trains running through Bath Spa Station are on time but further afield rough seas have caused major damage…

GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL founder Michael Eavis has blasted the Environment Agency over the absence of dredging Somerset’s rivers – now flooded – through the Daily Mail.

Relying more on his dairy farmer knowledge than his pop festival roots, Mr Eavis of Worthy Farm in Pilton takes no prisoners in his column which says birds have been favoured over farmers in the handling of the country’s waterways.
