It won’t be a surprise to anyone who has ever set foot upon the hallowed soil of Worthy Farm in Pilton, the Glastonbury Festival was hailed the best international music festival of the year at the Pollstar Awards on Friday.

The 25th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards were held at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and honour the artists, management, talent buyers, venues and support services that help create some of the biggest music events.

Led Zeppelin fans could have a mixture of emotions after Robert Plant appeared to rule out a reunion for Glastonbury Festival.

Outlining his touring plans for this year, he said: “I think we will go through Glastonbury, once or twice, and disappoint everyone who thought I might be bringing other people with me.”

Roads remain closed but better news on the trains for travellers

Roads remain closed but better news on the trains for travellers
One day to go to the weekend and just one more difficult journey if you are heading into Bath this morning.
Emergency repairs are still being carried out on the A431 Kelston Road because of subsidence with no date yet for it to re-open.
The B3110 Midford through is also still shut for emergency repairs following a landslip.
There are no major problems to report elsewhere on the roads this morning with just slow moving traffic at the usual hotspots.

Road closures hit Bath commuters . . . and even the cycle path is…
14.40pm update: The 15.00 service from Bath Spa to Bristol Temple Meads has been cancelled.
8.20am update: Motorists may have experienced delays earlier this morning because of a two-vehicle crash on Freezinghill Lane at Wick.
It happened just before 7am and the fire brigade was called to assist, but by the time they arrived everyone was out of their vehicles.

6,50am update: First problem on the trains this morning with the 6.43 service to London Paddington being delayed.
