Latest traffic update: Potential for disruption after major…
Drivers are warning of the potential for serious disruption this morning after a traffic light failure on the Batheaston Bypass.
All the traffic lights are out on the roundabout at the Bath end of the bypass and drivers should approach with care.
One set of the lights failed several months ago and a warning sign was attached by the Highways Agency but now all the lights are out.
The latest problem will only add to the difficulties facing commuters heading into Bath this morning.

Supermarkets bring down the cost of petrol
Motorists have received some pre-Budget good news in the form of supermarket fuel-price cuts.
First, Tesco announced it was reducing its petrol and diesel by 1p a litre from yesterday afternoon.
Then Asda said that, from this morning it was taking up to 1p a litre off its petrol and up to 2p a litre off its diesel.
Asda said motorists would from today pay no more than 132.7p a litre for diesel and 126.7p a litre for petrol.

Two more 20mph speed limit zones for Bath area
New 20mph speed limits are to be introduced in two more areas of Bath.
Bath and North East Somerset Council is rolling out the new limits across the district, consulting people along the way.
Areas such as Peasedown St John and Southdown already have new limits that apply only to residential roads. The latest areas to be included are the wards of Walcot, Lansdown and Lambridge around London Road, and the Westmoreland and Oldfield wards in Oldfield Park.

WHAT would Hitler do if he couldn’t get tickets to the Glastonbury Festival?

Anonymous pranksters at the Blue School in Wells have added to the viral video collection on YouTube of Hitler reacting to bad news about a proposed sixth form.

But this is not the first time the Fuhrer has been angered by the South West.

In 2011, a pair of videos of the dictator – lifted from scenes in 2004 German movie Downfall – were used to show Hitler’s reaction to stage clashes.
