Asked to come up with one word to sum up the Glastonbury Festival and “rubbish” would hardly be the first to spring to mind.But when staff at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wanted something which epitomised the Pilton Party they asked for a bin. Marcus Mumford breaks world toilet marathon record
Bristol man Marcus Mumford has set a new world record for running the fastest marathon while dressed as a toilet.
Marcus, from Henbury, raced the London marathon course at the weekend in an astonishing time of 2 hours 57mins and 28 seconds despite – or maybe because of – being dressed in a toilet costume.
The wacky 35-year-old was running for international charity WaterAid, one of the charity partners of this year’s Glastonbury Festival – the event headlined last year his namesake…

Michael Eavis: "Led Zeppelin will play Glastonbury one…
MICHAEL Eavis has set tongues wagging with a claim that Led Zeppelin will reform one day, and that when they do, they’ll headline Glastonbury.

In an interview with Ireland AM he said: “That will happen one day. I’m sure of it. They will do it.”

Led Zep recently confirmed the release dates of the first of their extended remasters series.

This year’s Glastonbury Festival will see Kasabian, Arcade Fire, Blondie, Dolly Parton and Skrillex take to the stage.
