We’re a little less than four weeks away from Glastonbury Festival. The fence is up, the bins are being painted (I know because I interviewed the people painting them), the long drops are being dug (ditto) and the countdown to Glastonbury Festival 2014 has begun.

A lot has been said about this year’s headliners – most of it on Twitter, and with CAPS LOCK ON, as far as I can tell.

The whole thing reminds me of the Jay-Z ‘controversy’ back in 2008, when a Gallagher declared himself the Lord…

Glastonbury Festival issue fake ticket warning
Festival organisers has been forced to a warning about scammers claiming to have Glastonbury Festival tickets for sale, this morning.

Earlier, this week, Michael Eavis said: “We would very much like you to be aware that there are people out there who will try and sell fake Glastonbury tickets to unsuspecting, willing and innocent potential purchasers.

“If you are offered a ticket it is unlikely to give you access to the Festival.”

Bin there, done that: We meet the Glastonbury Festival bin…
IT’S a beautiful, sunny day when I get the chance to meet Hank and Ant, who head up the bin-painting team for Glastonbury Festival.

The team’s marquee is easy to spot, surrounded by freshly painted bins, veteran bins that survived last year’s event, and brand new ones, still bearing the labels of the fruit juice they used to contain.
