The man who died after taking ketamine at Glastonbury Festival has been named as Jack Crabtree.

The 26-year-old, from Reading, was rushed to hospital after falling ill on Wednesday night and died in hospital in Bristol on Friday morning.

Police said they did not believe a bad batch of the drug was responsible and that the man had an “individual reaction”.

Ketamine is a class B drug that is legally used in medicine and by vets as a tranquiliser.

A gas attack aimed at blowing open a supermarket ATM cash machine is under investigation by police.

The Avon & Somerset Force believes that people leaving Glastonbury Festival may be useful witnesses to the attack, the second in seven weeks on the wall-mounted machine outside Waitrose supermarket in Whiting Way, Wells.

The incident happened at around 4am today.
