REVEALED: James to open Glastonbury Festival 2016
LONG-RUNNING Mancunian rock band James will open the 2016 Glastonbury Festival, lead singer Tim Booth has revealed.Speaking to BBC 5 Live today, Booth revealed the band – whose hits include Sit Down and Laid – will be the first act on the Other Stage at 11am on Friday, June 24.He said: “We’re going to cut the ribbon and smash the champagne on the ship.”Over the years a tradition has formed at the festival to start with a bang, with a big name.
