Supermarkets bring down the cost of petrol
Motorists have received some pre-Budget good news in the form of supermarket fuel-price cuts.
First, Tesco announced it was reducing its petrol and diesel by 1p a litre from yesterday afternoon.
Then Asda said that, from this morning it was taking up to 1p a litre off its petrol and up to 2p a litre off its diesel.
Asda said motorists would from today pay no more than 132.7p a litre for diesel and 126.7p a litre for petrol.

Two more 20mph speed limit zones for Bath area
New 20mph speed limits are to be introduced in two more areas of Bath.
Bath and North East Somerset Council is rolling out the new limits across the district, consulting people along the way.
Areas such as Peasedown St John and Southdown already have new limits that apply only to residential roads. The latest areas to be included are the wards of Walcot, Lansdown and Lambridge around London Road, and the Westmoreland and Oldfield wards in Oldfield Park.

7.45am update: Flooding has closed Goosard Lane in High Littleton between Langfords Lane and Bristol Road.

A new week but drivers face some of the same old problems on their journey into Bath this morning.
While there was some good news over the weekend with the partial re-opening of the main road through Midford, the A431 Kelston Road remains shut.
Emergency repairs are still being carried out because of subsidence with no date set for the road to be re-opened.
