Four people have died in three days on the region’s roads.A motorist was killed and the M5 was shut yesterday evening after a crash on the northbound carriageway in Devon between junctions 27, for Tiverton, and 26, for Wellington, in Somerset.The closure came after a serious accident shortly before 4pm. Family's lucky escape after car hits tree near Bridgwater
Three adults and child had a lucky escape today when the car in which they were travelling left the road, hit a tree and stuck in a ditch.
The incident happened at Burrowbridge, near Bridgwater at around 4.30pm. Fire crews from Bridgwater were alerted. By the time they arrived the casualties were out of vehicle and the crews assisted police and ambulance with the injured.
