Plane fuselage causes traffic hold-ups on M4 in Wiltshire
An aeroplane fuselage caused tailbacks on the M4 and main roads in the West today as it travelled from south Wales to Cotswold Airport.

The Airbus A321 took up two lanes of the motorway on its two-day journey to the ‘plane graveyard’ on the Wiltshire-Gloucestershire border.

Tidal surge causes River Avon to flood in Bristol
Roads were flooded in Bristol today as high spring tides and a tidal surge forced the Avon to burst its banks.

There was little disruption thanks to the use of flood defences – especially the barrier at Avon Crescent, Hotwells, which flooded earlier this year for the first time since the 1960s – but higher tides are expected tomorrow morning.
