A decade-long project to ease traffic around a West Country town has finally come to fruition as a £7.2 million road is set to open.The new Eastern Relief Road near to Monkton Heathfield on the outskirts of Taunton, has taken three years to complete.The project, undertaken by house builder Persimmon Homes and property firm Redrow, which oversaw the complex planning, design and construction, will open on November 16.The road is the first phase of easing congestion in the community,…
