Residents of Castle Cary and Ansford call for 20mph limit to make…
Residents of a Somerset town have banded together to demand safer roads in their area and call for a 20mph speed limit to be introduced.

People in Castle Cary and Ansford were left
angry and concerned over the summer when a road closure led to lorries using the town centre as a shortcut.

The A371 was shut for weeks to allow Somerset County Council to replace an outdated set of traffic lights at a shuttle junction.

But the traffic disruption caused by the road works highlighted problem…
