No trains to Wembley for railway town club Swindon's big day
They are a club synonymous with the railways – they even have a steam train on the club badge – but when Swindon Town fans make their way to Wembley next weekend, they will not be travelling by train.For even though a possible 40,000 Swindonians will be making their way to the national stadium in London for the League One play off final against Preston, no trains will be leaving Brunel’s great railway town.The play off final is taking place on the Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend….
