The owner of a dog which went missing – winning the hearts of people across Somerset – has said she was “living a nightmare” after a car crash injured her family and her beloved pet ran away.

Gemma Brixey, from Frome, spent nine days searching the Somerset countryside for her black Labrador Tipsy after she fled the scene of a fatal car crash on Boxing Day.
