M5 breakdowns: Research finds a motorist breaks down every 39…
A motorist broke down on the M5 every 39 minutes last year.There were 13,312 breakdowns on the motorway in 2015/16, according to Highways England.This was the highest figure over the past three years.It was equivalent to a car failing every 39 minutes, or 36 breakdowns per day.The M5 had the fourth-highest number of breakdowns of any motorway or A-road in England last year, behind the M1, the M25 and M6.Read more: Police trying to stop man from jumping off bridge over M5There are 31 main…
