A raft of failures by police who investigated the death of a 27-year-old man on a road in Bristol have been exposed for the first time.Jake Thompson was killed in May 2011 after he was hit by a lorry on the A37 in Totterdown. The driver of the HGV lorry, 45-year-old Paul Vowles, was found not guilty of careless driving at Bristol Crown Court, despite being found to be speeding through a junction when he hit Jake.Now, Mr Thompson’s family have released the full details of an independent inquiry…
