Almost 90 per cent of motorists would consider ditching their petrol or diesel car for an electric vehicle, it was revealed yesterday.Alternatively-fuelled vehicles, which can be electric, hybrid, or hydrogen, currently only account for 2.6 per cent of registrations in the UK.But it would be a lot higher if they were more affordable and motorists were better informed about the growing industry.
