Eight week ban for lorry driver who killed three horses
A lorry driver from Wiltshire has been fined and banned from driving for eight weeks after he caused a crash which killed three horses.
David Cordey, from Shelley Way, Warminster, was driving an HGV which crashed into a huge horse transporter containing ten horses on the A303 on the Wiltshire-Hampshire border at Thruxton.
The crash, on July 23 last year, caused horrific scenes as firefighters struggled to free injured horses from the trailer, which turned onto its side.
