Gillingham’s traffic woes could soon be eased following a windfall from central government.

Communities secretary Sajid Javid MP has announced that £19.5M will be allocated to projects designed to make Dorset more attractive for businesses.

Of this £19.5M – which will be distributed through the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) – £3.5M has been dedicated to creating new access roads in the south of
Gillingham.
