Calls grow for road safety rethink near Shepton Mallet schools…
Calls are growing for a road safety rethink near schools in Shepton Mallet after it was claimed an out of control car narrowly missed a pedestrian – in the same week a teenage girl was injured in a crash.

A 14-year-old pupil of Whitstone School had to be airlifted to hospital in Bristol and spent time in intensive care after she was struck by a car on February 7.

Thankfully the young girl is now recovering at home but her father, Barry Cox, called for action to make the roads in…
