A39 near Glastonbury reopens after 'major repairs' finish early
A major Somerset road has reopened ahead of schedule following a gruelling half-term of rebuilding.
Somerset County Council closed the A39 Causeway between Street and Glastonbury on October 21 to carry out “major repairs” to the road.
After teams worked 24 hours a day since that Friday evening, the road has now reopened to motorists on Saturday (October 29) – a day earlier than originally promised.
