Police officers have warned lorry drivers and contractors to “keep out” of a town centre after concerns from local residents about dangerous near misses between pedestrians and HGVs.The A371 is closed for 12 weeks in Ansford due to traffic light replacement works and diversion signs are in place for lorries and cars alike.But residents of Ansford and Castle Cary have reported incidents of lorries ignoring the road closure to both Somerset County Council and local police.
