When will Shepton Mallet prison pigs stop flying?
THERE are lots of people who agree with Mrs P Harris (Shepton Journal letters, December 5) that the prison should become a tourist attraction.We at the Shepton Mallet Local History Group desperately want a heritage centre to store the ever-increasing amount of old paperwork that people are kindly letting us have instead of it going into the skip when they move house or have a tidy up. The more the merrier.But there is a problem. How is the prison or somewhere even smaller going to be financed?…
