Road closures cause traffic delays
MAJOR traffic delays were caused by carnival road closures during Tuesday morning rush hour.Field View and Cannard’s Grave Road were closed at 7pm on Monday and remained closed until midnight last night so carnival carts could be parked.Traffic was forced down Whitstone Road to the Charlton crossroads and through the town centre, causing congestion and delays.

A38 Somerset – A38 Bristol Road in Dunball partially blocked at Dunball Roundabout, because of an accident involving lorry and van and recovery work.
A39 Somerset – Queueing traffic on A39 Fore Street in Williton near the A358 Bank Street junction. In the roadworks area. Also affecting B3191 Harbour Road near South Road.

Sanders Garden World is waiting for a decision on a massive expansion of its site, which would see a new roundabout built on the A38 near East Brent and Mark.
Owners Wyevale Garden Centres have put in an application to extend the centre’s main building bring in extra cycle paths and footpaths along the A38 and provide cash for struggling town centre businesses in nearby Burnham on Sea.
