M48 Severn Bridge closed this weekend for repair works
The M48 Severn Bridge will be closed this weekend to allow essential resurfacing work to take place.

The westbound carriageway of the crossing will be closed between 10am on Saturday, June 14 and 6pm on Sunday, June 15 while the work is completed.

Devon coach company involved in crash which killed two passengers…
The Devon coach company involved in a crash which killed two passengers is to be stripped of its licence.

Carol Muldoon, 68, and Margaret Luxton, 61, both from Exmouth, died when the Carmel Coach crashed into a hedge near the village of Morval in South East Cornwall.

The incident on May 13 also left four other passengers, on a day trip with Age Concern, seriously injured.

Bomb scare leads to London's Victoria Station being evacuated
London’s Victoria station has been evacuated after a bomb scare.

A discovery of an item builders feared to be an unexploded Second World War bomb has led to a full-scale alert which closed the major rail station.

Police and firefighters were called to a site close to Victoria station in central London around late morning.

Trains were halted and the station evacuated before police declared the device “non-suspicious” and emergency services stood down.

Wiltshire Police have arrested a man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a double fatal crash on the M4 earlier this morning.

The collision occurred shortly after 4.30am this morning between a lorry and a van on the slip road close to junction 17 at Chippenham.

Two men travelling in the van were pronounced dead at the scene and two other men, also travelling in the van, were taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious injuries.
