Roadworks to close busy A4
One of the West’s most famous roads is to be completely closed for five nights next week in a move which is set to cause traffic congestion for miles around.The busy A4 road – the main road between London and Bath and Bristol for centuries – will be shut from 7pm to midnight every night next week between Corsham and Box to allow contractors to resurface and improve a 400m stretch.Traffic will face diversions which, for HGVs, will involve lengthy detours.
