M5 remains shut as crash in Devon confirmed as fatal
The M5 remains shut this evening after a fatal crash on the northbound carriageway in Devon between junctions 27 (Tiverton) and 26 (Wellington).
The closure follows a serious single vehicle road traffic collision, which happened shortly before 4pm.
A car is reported to have left the motorway and gone down an embankment, ending up in a field.
The incident has been confirmed as a fatal collision and the motorway has been closed to enable collision investigators to examine the scene.
