Does the future of the Mendip countryside lie under glass?An application for a solar farm at Whitley Lane Walton, in particular, and a second one at Pedwell are currently being considered by Mendip District Council.The impact of the Whitley Lane one will be enormous with sheets of glass covering the fields on a hilltop.
