RECENTLY I witnessed what I can only describe as wanton destruction of young trees (young by tree standards).In Meare, there are two new, small housing developments. One private, The Levels, and one a council social housing development. Both developments are nearing the end of their build with the social housing site virtually completed.On the boundary between these adjacent sites stood a line of trees.
