FOLLOWING the news that Glastonbury Town Council hopes to buy St Dunstan’s House, one Glastonbury resident has spoken out:

I ATTENDED the Glastonbury Town Council meeting when Councillor John Keery announced the proposal to buy St Dunstan’s House (a Grade II listed building to the left of the town hall) for £350,000 and in addition to this the council would also have to give part of St Dunstan’s Car Park to Glastonbury Abbey.

AFTER news broke that the new lease at Tor Sport and Leisure in Glastonbury meant the fields were safe from development for 50 years, according to Mendip District Council, John Heatherington emailed the Gazette explaining “a lease means nothing”.
