The managing director of the developer behind a controversial roadworks scheme in Yeovil has said it should not have to deal with commuter complaints.

In an email sent by Paul Moran, Barratt Homes managing director, to Somerset County Council highways he said he is “disappointed” that it has been suggested disgruntled commuters complain to them.

The roadworks at the junction of Sherborne Road and Lyde Road in the town are being carried out by Barratt Homes as part of the Wyndham…
