Three people are recovering in hospital following yesterday’s crash on the A37 near Shepton Mallet which caused “severe” disruption.

Shortly before 3pm, a car and a van were involved in a collision at Wraxall Hill, which caused the road to be closed for several hours.

The crash involved a major operation across the emergency services, with fire crews from Shepton Mallet, Castle Cary, Somerton and Glastonbury all sent to the scene.
