THIS letter was sent to the Gazette in a bit to track down a Glastonbury couple who found a man’s wallet from Sidmouth:

I NEED to express my sincere thanks to an unknown Glastonbury couple who have ended the disaster that overtook my household. Visiting Budleigh Salterton from my home in nearby Sidmouth I managed to lose my wallet. With it were bank cards, driving licence, bus pass and much else. But having moved home only in recent weeks there was nothing that could lead now to my door.
