A370 Long Ashton Bypass repairs set to spark traffic chaos
Commuters face six months of misery when one of the main routes into Bristol is partially closed for urgent repairs. North Somerset Council this week appointed contractor Freyssinet to carry out a £3.4 million project to repair the 45-year-old Yanley Viaduct on the A370 Long Ashton Bypass. Work will start in August and is needed because joints on the 300-metre-long viaduct are badly deteriorating. Two of the three lanes will close during part of the project.
