Change in law could see bridge tolls rise
Drivers could face soaring tolls on Clifton Suspension Bridge under government plans to let operators charge what they like, without consultation. Proposals by roads minister Robert Goodwill aim to simplify the process of increasing fees for 11 private tollowners, including the famous Bristol landmark.
